UCLA students looking to grab lunch or dinner at an artisanal Italian restaurant will only have to venture out to Wilshire Boulevard starting May 12, when Tanzy Restaurant opens.
Thanks to executive chef Bryan Podgorski, Tanzy will offer menus featuring raw bar offerings, a selection of sliced cured meats, assorted cheeses, starters, salads, house-made pastas, entree selections and sides.
Standout dishes will include the Grilled Spanish Octopus, with warm potato salad celery branch, lemon and parsley emulsion; Strozzapreti, with Bolognese, plum tomato and fres ricotta; Orecchiette, with spiced turkey sausage and wilted Swiss chard; and Braised Beef Short Rib, with toasted pearl barley, wilted collard greens, pickled heirloom carrots and natural jus.
Besides lunch and dinner, patrons will also have the option to order a sweet dessert, like the Panna Cotta that has Harry's Berries strawberries and amaretti crumble. Or, there's the Torta di Cioccolato with dark chocolate ice cream, salted caramel and banana gelato.
