As the final semester of the school year slowly comes to an end, have you figured out what you’re going to be doing this summer? If not, then perhaps enrolling in one (or more) of UC Riverside’s Summer Session courses is what you need.

First of all, this isn’t your typical, ordinary summer school. There are more than 600 courses you can take, and all of them are in a relaxed campus atmosphere with convenient schedules. The summer classes are smaller in size, meaning you get more attention and interaction with your instructor and classmates, something you don’t typically get in huge lecture classes during the school year.

Also, the three to seven-week sessions are much faster than the traditional 10-week quarter. This is a great opportunity to catch up or get ahead by taking prerequisites or intensive classes.

UC Riverside’s Summer Sessions are not only for college students; recent high school graduates and current high school students can benefit too. For example, there is the Summer Academy for high school students, where they have the opportunity to earn college credit on an official UC transcript all while meeting distinguished faculty and building new relationships with fellow UCR students. This program will help ensure that you graduate in four years.

Whether you’re a current UC student, visiting student, transfer student, incoming college student or high school student, UC Riverside’s Summer Sessions will help you get ahead of the curve while you embark and continue on your college journey.
