As 2014 college graduates walk across the stage, grab their degrees, take photos with their families and enter the glorious world of post-grad life, more than half of them will soon have to start worrying about paying off their student loans.

MSNBC reports the "average college student in the class of 2014 will graduate with nearly $33,000 in debt, with nearly 60 percent having taken out a student loan." As a result, the total student loan debt in the U.S. has reached $1.2 trillion.

But, on the bright side, the class of 2014 is also "part of the largest, most diverse cohort of collegians in American history." Ah, there's the silver lining.
