Commerce Casino on February 24 is the only place in Los Angeles where you can witness first-hand Hollywood’s elite competing with poker pros for some hefty prizes and well-earned respect. Taking it to the tables will be a slew of new celebrities including James Woods, Ray Romano, Jason Alexander, James Garner and Anne Heche, among several others.

But being a celebrity won’t help these kids when it comes down to the cards and the pros. It will, however, make winning that much more sweet. The ultimate winner will take home a $200,000 prize pool, $25,000 seat in the World Poker Tour World Championship at the Bellagio in April, and $10,000 to be donated to their favorite charity.

The annual event is televised on the Travel Channel and draws more than 75 celebrities to compete against 200 of the leading players in the game. Watch the world pros go head to head with the biggest names in television and film for a piece of the prize.

Celebrity players in previous years have included Ben Affleck, Toby Maguire, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Norm MacDonald, Macaulay Culkin, Laura Prepon and Sara Gilbert. Last year, stage and screen actor Tom Everett Scott became the first celebrity to make the final six, finishing third in the events and pocketing $25,000.

This event will capture all the excitement and sizzling action of celebrity poker aces teaming up against top poker pros from around the world. Since the World Poker Tour started, it has inspired a global poker phenomenon that has attracted millions of men and women to the game and legions of devoted followers to the poker lifestyle. It has transformed poker into a sport of choice for many viewers and players.

While the celebrities and pros ante up you could be sitting right there in the middle of all the action at the Commerce Casino, the country’s largest poker room. Fans are being let in to view the final table on February 24th with seating provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The final tournament will begin at 5 p.m. but it is suggested that fans arrive at 3 p.m. to ensure a spot. You won’t want to miss this crazy combination of stargazing and gambling. This event is definitely a must-see opportunity for Angelinos, so what are you waiting for? GET UP AND GET OUT!
