WATCH: College Students Clueless About 9/11 Anniversary, ISIS

When Young America’s Foundation spokeswoman Ashley Pratte went around George Washington University and asked 30 students questions about current events such as 9/11, ISIS and the beheading of journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, you would hope most of them would answer the questions correctly.

Sadly, that was not the case.

The video (which appears on The Daily Caller) takes place on Sept. 5. First, Pratte asks the students, "Next week marks a major national event. Do you know what that is?" The answer is 9/11, which only six got right. SIX.

Then, Pratt asks questions about the Islamic radical group ISIS and the beheadings that grabbed national headlines on numerous publications and TV outlets.

"Have you heard about ISIS at all? Do you know what it is?" she asks one female student.

"No," answers the student.

"So, have you heard about two American journalists being beheaded?" Pratte follows up.

"No," repeats the student.

Pratte asks a male student the same question and inquires if that student knows about the president's strategy.

"I don't," says the male student. "I haven't heard of ISIS."

In total, only four students could name one of the journalists beheaded.

But when it came to celebrity and pop culture, the students answered correctly. Twenty-nine out of 30 were able to name celebrities involved in the nude photo leak scandal.
