These are the Most Expensive College Dorms in Each State

Hey, Bruins, Trojans, Matadors and Lions: If you thought your dorms cost too much, just be thankful you don't have to pay as much as UC Berkeley students--their dorms are the most expensive in the state! Students have to fork over a whopping $15,482, according to a new map series by eCollegeFinder.

The site used data from the US Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics and searched through colleges that offer four-year degrees with on-campus housing to find out which school in each state charges the most for on-campus room and board.

Surprisingly, the most expensive dorms did not necessarily belong to the most expensive colleges. For example, the most expensive college in California is Harvey Mudd College, not UC Berkeley.
