JAM Sessions are FREE interactive events centered on movement and music that invite participants of all ages and skill levels to dance, play and experience something new and unexpected. More than 30 JAM Sessions will take place between March and November at various sites throughout Los Angeles County, including Newhall, San Fernando, Watts, Pomona, Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights.

JAM Sessions return to the Newhall and San Fernando areas in March with eight JAMs scheduled to take place in each locale. Newhall JAM Sessions are presented in partnership with the City of Santa Clarita and are part of the Thursdays@Newhall ArtSLAM series, which includes art galleries, food trucks and a beer garden. JAMs presented in partnership with the City of San Fernando will take place before and during free concerts, movie nights and other family-friendly events.

New JAM locations include Watts, Pomona, Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights. JAM Sessions will be presented in partnership with the Watts Labor Community Action Committee (WLCAC) in conjunction with two of WLCAC’s popular Bones and Blues jazz concerts and two free movie nights. Beginning in July, JAMs will take place as part of the Downtown Pomona Art Walk. JAM Sessions that take place at the Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights community centers are part of an outdoor global music concert series presented by the County of Los Angeles Parks & Recreation Department.

JAM Sessions are an initiative of the Ford Theatre Foundation and supported, in part, by The James Irvine Foundation. To learn more about the Ford Theatres and the Ford Theatre Foundation, visit FordTheatres.org.
