One of the great product finds we discovered is the ECOLunchbox series by ECOlunchbox. Heading to the beach or on a hike? The ECOlunchbox comes in several designs and solves the dilemma of an eco friendly and convenient way to pack your lunch or snacks on the go.

My favorite product is the ECOlunchbox Oval, which is a two piece set with a large box plus a smaller cup that's ideal for sauces, dips or other wet foods. Beautifully designed in stainless steel, the oval gets my vote for everything from sandwiches, to pastas to salads. I love that the lid doubles as a plate, and the containers can pop into the dishwasher, coming out sparkling clean and ready to reuse. Since they are stainless steel, you don't need to worry about rusting or warping. Finally, no more smelly lunch boxes as the stainless containers do not retain odors like many traditional lunch boxes.

The oval lunchbox measures 6 1/2 inches long by 5 inches wide and 2 inches tall, fitting 3 cups of food. The smaller cup holds 3/4 of a cup of food. Further, the oval lunchbox is unisex since there is no design, just the logo. ($25)

Women can also order the attractive artisan crafted carry bag and & napkin set separately ($30). The purse-style bag can double as an amazing cosmetic bag. All of the company's fabrics are block printed by hand in India following ancient traditions. There is a wide assortment of colors and styles available for individual tastes.

Another favorite is the Solo Cube measuring 5.25" square & 2" deep, which prevents the "squished sandwich syndrome" that you get with other soft lunch boxes. ($20)

As if limiting your container waste wasn't enough of a plus, all of the ECOlunchbox products (including reusable plastic lids on small cup containers) are lead-free, BPA-free and phthalate-free.

An ECOlunchbox set and carry bag would make a terrific gift idea for Mother's Day.
