Rooftop Movies at The Montalbán returns for its sixth season, bringing back cinema al fresco to the historic Hollywood venue just in time for spring. Watch a mix of cult classics and 2020 Oscar winners under the stars. Come early for drinks and dinner from a rotating group of restaurants. With screenings of recent Oscar winners Parasite, Joker, and 1917, as well as cult classics, Blade Runner, Dirty Dancing and Grease, there's something for everyone at the Rooftop Movies series. The season kicks off with Academy Award-winning Quentin Tarantino flick Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on Friday, April 3, 2020. The Montalbán’s rooftop oasis—outfitted with a bar, concession stand and kitchen—provides an open-air movie theater complete with a large projection screen, state-of-the-art projector, noise cancelling headphones, fresh-popped popcorn and even blankets for a chilly night. The Montalbán curates films from all eras including Hollywood classics, cult favorites, select current releases, premieres and exclusive presentations with cast and crew when possible. Over the course of the regular seven-month season, the venue may host up to five screenings per week. Doors open at 6:00pm and films start screening 10 minutes after sunset. Tickets are $18 for a single seat. Come with a friend and reserve one of the limited “Date Night Seats” for $50, which comes with a Prosecco toast and unlimited popcorn.
