High school is often considered the greatest time in a person's life. For some it is the freedom. For others it is the innocence. For a select few it is the cheerleaders. For me, it was the ability to listen to pop-punk music.

By the time I reached college, bands such as Fenix TX and Allister had fallen out of favor. Suddenly people liked music that you could listen to while drinking coffee … like Dave Matthews or something. Although I realized that it was time to grow up musically, I was not quite ready for the adult world of Social Distortion.

Into the great abyss of my musical world sprung Left Alone. Its latest release Dead American Radio, is a perfect blend of catchy pop-punk hooks with a grown-up sound. This is the most enjoyable album I have listened to since my junior year of high school.
