As DOC NYC expands its year-round and online offerings, its currently offering an inaugural Spring Showcase, a free, online screening series running through June 20.
Over the course of 4 weeks, DOC NYC is presenting some of the year’s most talked-about nonfiction films and series, along with conversations with the creative teams behind them. You’ll hear from creators like Padma Lakshmi, Steve James, Fran Lebowitz, Asif Kapadia, Dr. Orna Guralnik, Louis Theroux, and more, in Q&As moderated by DOC NYC’s programming team. The lineup spans a wide variety of nonfiction formats and subjects, from hosted series to biographies, vérité films and multi-part cultural explorations, covering everything from culinary history to city politics, pop music, and the inner workings of intimate relationships. You don’t want to miss it.
An advance RSVP is required to watch, but you can sign up for all screenings at once at docnyc.net/spring-showcase-2021, or reserve tickets for individual screenings on each event page.
All screenings are available throughout the US with select programs also available to watch in Canada. Spring Showcase programming is co-presented by 30 for 30, Apple TV+, BBC SELECT, FX Networks, Hulu, MTV Documentary Films, National Geographic, Netflix, and SHOWTIME® Documentary Films.
