There’s only one thing better than fresh snow to put you in the holiday spirit and that’s a visit from Santa Clause…or in this case 100 Santa Clauses. Mountain High’s Santa Sunday returns this Sunday, December 19th, for its 6th annual Santa celebration. Watch as 100+ Santas of all shapes and sizes ski down the slopes of Mountain High in the name charity.

Any Santa who visits Mountain High on Sunday, December 19th, and makes a minimum $20 donation to Christmas Cheer All Year will receive a FREE Adult Lift Ticket worth $119. This event is open to men and women, skiers and snowboarders, Grinchs and Santas alike. 

Christmas Cheer All Year is a non-profit organization that originally served underprivileged youth at Christmas but now spreads the joy of the holiday season to people in need all year. To make a donation and help someone in your community, please click here.

Santa Sunday Schedule

  • 8:00 a.m. – Arrive early, pick up ticket in Big Pines Base Lodge. Bring Donation receipt, photo ID and completed?Santa liability form.  
  • 9:00 a.m. –?Meet at the bottom of Snowflake Chairlift for photos
  • 10:00 a.m. – Meet at the bottom of Blue Ridge Express for Santa Sunday ride
  • 11:00 a.m. – Hashtag all Santa photos with #mhsantaselfie to win?

Once a skier or snowboarder has successfully registered, including making his/her donation, that participant must wear a Santa suit complete with hat, beard, coat, belt and pants to Mountain High on December 19th. Mrs Claus, The Grinch, and other Santa-Related characters are ok within reason. Participants must pick up their tickets, sign a liability form, and be at the Snowflake Chairlift at 9:00 a.m. to participate in the Santa Sunday group ride. 

No Santa costume? You can still participate. Post a picture with any Santa on Santa Sunday and you could win a Mountain High prize pack filled with tickets, sweatshirts, beanies, goggles, gloves and more. Just hashtag your photos with #mhsantaselfie. The more the better.

Mountain High also offers tubing, sledding, and snow play at the Yeti’s Snow Play at its East Resort. There kids can slide down the tubing lanes, meet the Yeti and his friends, or just play in the snow.  The Yeti’s Snow Play is open daily from Dec 18th – Jan 9th, then weekends and holidays through mid-March. Tickets will sell out this weekend so guests are advised to reserve theirs in advance at https://shop.mthigh.com/reservations. Tickets, lessons, and rentals must be purchased ahead of time and cannot be purchase on site.
