The Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF), which will take place from November 4th to 7th, 2024, at The Culver Theater in Culver City, CA, has announced today its full lineup. This year’s edition features prestigious names of Brazilian Cinema, with a special highlight on women’s production. The festival is also pleased to receive into the competition the renowned documentarist Daniela Thomas, with the documentary Diamonds, and Lygia Barbora, with Untenable Pantanal. 

LABRFF is also proud to announce the special screening of the Midway Point, directed by Lucca Vieira, a short film that raises awareness of Autistic Spectrum Disorder. All Culver City residents and students from the area receive free tickets to any screening from the festival program.

ABOUT LABRFF

Founded in 2008 by the film producer Meire Fernandes and the journalist Nazareno Paulo, the LABRFF filled a gap in the Mecca of cinema, becoming a showcase for Brazilian productions in Hollywood. The festival has screened 1,450 titles, awarded over 600 film professionals, and contributed to the filmmaking industry in Brazil in partnership with the United States, as well as supporting the distribution of Brazilian productions in America and abroad. Along the 17 years of history, LABRFF is now considered one of the most prestigious international Brazilian film festivals.
