There's no denying the influence of hip hop music on today's society. From the clothes we wear to the songs and videos that surround us, the music genre has undeniably burst forth from the underground to pretty much every area of the mainstream.

Movement: Hip Hop in L.A. – 1980s to Now examines the development of hip hop in Los Angeles from its beginnings as a subculture to a distinct worldwide presence. Various photos by innovators in the hip hop realm are being showcased.

Campus Circle offers you a preview of some of the images on display in the exhibit, which is made possible by the Department of Cultural Affairs.
