Danielle Stori is a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice. The self-released The Blue Room suggests those obvious qualities go much deeper than that.

The singer-songwriter has an honest quality about her that shines whether she's showing off her sweet or her sultry side. Stori blends a pop sensibility with soulful lyrics, as heard on album opener “What Would You Do” and “I'll Be There.” “Misery” and “Let Me Be” show a great sense of emotion and vulnerability that is sure to be a hit with any hopeless romantic.

Though Stori is most affecting when her bluesy and powerful voice dominates, The Blue Room shows off a wide range of capability and versatility from this up-and-comer. Whether it's upbeat or mid-tempo, she does what she does well.
