It’s a massive hurdle for any band to put out a “for the fans” album packed with B-sides, covers and hidden tracks, and have that album appeal to anyone outside this predisposed group. Unfortunately for Copeland, their new album, Dressed Up & In Line, is a shining example of failing to leap this hurdle.

Hardcore fans will surely love covers like "Black Hole Sun" and "Every Breath You Take," likely recorded in concert, but newcomers will sneer at the droning versions of these two classic songs, which should not be tackled by such indie rock poster boys. I'm leaving the B-sides be for a reason.
