I couldn’t have been happier than to discover Kamera, the Midwest band with the classic pure ’80s sound – think Depeche Mode and Duran Duran. The latest release, the follow-up to their 2005 debut X-Posure, is a delightful throwback to one of the best eras in music, complete with the familiar techno acoustics that made the sound of the ’80s so cool and recognizable.

Greg Flores, lead vocalist of the New Wave-esque band, contributes much to the album’s structure and clarity. Great guitar riffs and catchy choruses are nestled nicely in every up-tempo track, kicking off the CD with “Lies” and finishing the quality set with “Another Sign of Love.”

Being hailed as “Underground-Heroes”, this album is likely to bring Kamera well above-ground.
