I’m a writer, so that basically means I’m out of work 90-percent of the time. For people like me there are legions of books on the subject of reeling in that perfect career. Land Your Dream Job by John Middleton, Ken Langdon and Nikki Cartwright compiles the most important dos and don’ts for job seekers.

The interface of the book is clear and easy to follow. Chapters like “The seven deadly resume sins” shed light on the habitual mistakes that the unemployed make.

The great thing about this book is that it raises a lot of important questions that one might not consider when job hunting. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer enough in the way of detailed “how-to” examples.
