If you think you’ve seen everything ’80s cinema has to offer, you might need to think again. Starstruck, which follows one girl’s (Jo Kennedy) and her flamboyant and funny cousin’s (Ross O’Donovan) desperate quest for showbiz fame, is the best of the decade to a T. Take the breezy inspiration of Footloose, replace the uptight small-town folk with a bunch of loveable (albeit misunderstood) Australians, throw in a soundtrack that perfectly blends Broadway with Cyndi Lauper, and you have an idea of what to expect here.

Starstruck is silly and not necessarily big on logic, but who cares? It hits its mark. If you’re feeling both nostalgic and adventurous, this should make for a fun discovery.

Extras: Producer commentary, interviews, galleries, deleted and extended scenes.
