Radiant City, a portrayal of a suburban family struggling against the confines of suburbia, offers an intriguing cautionary tale about the horrible flaws of suburban expanse. The family and their descriptions of the turmoil created by housing that seems to defy urban planning logic is engrossing, and the experts and fun statistical graphics make it both entertaining and educational.

Unfortunately, a surprise twist towards the end of the film makes the movie less about the message and more about the twist, forcing viewers to decide whether they still care enough about the situation to retain interest in the message.
