The entire 12-part epic adaptation of master of horror Clive Barker’s foray into fantasy. Randolph Jaffe stumbles across the Art, an ancient, mystical artifact.

With his partner, Fletcher, he soon becomes obsessed with unlocking its powers and finding the Dream Sea. With their gained powers they soon turn on each other, waging a decades-long battle of good versus evil, which entangles them with the citizens of a small town.

The dense and compelling opening chapters eventually devolve into narrative redundancy, losing steam halfway through the book. The epic adaptation could’ve benefited from some serious trimming. Still, for fans of Barker and dark fantasy, a fairly solid read.
