Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things to do, especially when a pioneering band like Ministry decides to go out on top. For their farewell C-U-LaTour, Ministry enlisted the help of Meshuggah.

Meshuggah opened their brutal set with “Concatenation.” They played other crowd favorites, such as “Rational Gaze,” and their current single off obZen, “Bleed.”

Then it was Ministry’s turn to mesmerize the crowd with their powerhouse industrial set. One of the best surprises from the night came when Wayne Static from Static-X joined Al Jourgensen in singing “So What.” Burton C. Bell from Fear Factory did a cover of “Under My Thumb,” in true Ministry style, and also sang on “N.W.O.”

Although all great things must come to an end, one can only hope that Ministry takes the road of Kiss and the Eagles in going on countless “farewell” tours in the years to come.
