Bette Davis, if not the greatest American actress ever, certainly deserves a place in the top 10. By turns bitter, heartbreaking and campy, Davis’ film career spanned an unbelievable 58 years, beginning in 1931 with The Bad Sister and ending in 1989(!) with Wicked Stepmother. Her eyes alone proved compelling enough to inspire the hit song “Bette Davis Eyes” sung by Kim Carnes in 1981.

The Bette Davis Collection does justice to the actress’s illustrious career by providing a range of her films. Included in the collection is All About Eve, probably her best film, featuring great and quotable lines like, “Fasten your seatbelts; it’s going to be a bumpy night.”

The other four movies in the collection, Phone Call From A Stranger, The Virgin Queen, Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte and The Nanny, while not quite achieving the perfection of Eve, still offer excellent bang for your buck.
