After 40 years of marriage the Loonys are getting a divorce. They summon their children for one last weekend together in their home.

Claire, a divorced single mother, tries to connect with her daughter. Dennis is having a breakdown, convinced that there is some larger mystery behind the divorce. Peter, the misunderstood one, depicted as a frog, connects with a girl he meets on the beach.

It’s a genre-crossing family saga with genuine psychological insight and oddball humor. Creator Dash Shaw’s playful exploration of the medium is comparable to what the French new wave did for cinema. He has furthered the art form.
