Continuing in the prestigious tradition of bringing barflies and socialites the best and most original bars comes the Fifth.

Originally planned as a nod to a fifth of whiskey or pleading the Fifth Amendment in court, the Fifth’s name took on a deeper meaning when Paul O’Neill and Craig Trager realized it was their fifth collaboration as artisans of their revered bar empire. The joint venture from O’Neil and Trager follows in the footsteps of other fixtures like Hollywood’s the Well, the Woods and North Hollywood’s No Bar.

What sets this gem apart from its other siblings is its unique location and décor. When you step into the Fifth, you’re instantly greeted with an ambiance of cool, a dash of class and above all, alluring appeal.

The Fifth is a bar for everyone. As O’Neil points out, “We’re making it comfortable for everyone from all walks of life.”

For sports fanatics, there are two plasmas located in the main bar area. For gaming enthusiasts, there’s a pool table and two arcade machines so you can indulge in your ’80s nostalgia.

The Fifth offers you a place where you can kick back after a hard day’s work, school or if you just need a drink without occasion. Open from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. nightly, it’s a convenient place to have a round with your friends.

“Happy Day” specials run from open until 8 p.m. every night when it’s $1 off most drinks. There are no taps here, but there’s a variety of bottled beer that runs between $4-$5 and just about every alcohol ever made is under $10.

Whether you’re a college student on a budget, a mid-level executive who needs a drink after a long day at the office or a barfly in need of a new home, the Fifth is a great destination if you’re in search of a chic cocktail lounge where the drinks are stiff and the prices aren’t.
