Everybody’s favorite possessed homicidal doll is turning 20! This anniversary edition DVD includes three commentary tracks featuring writer Don Mancini, then child star Alex Vincent and Chucky (Brad Dourif in character), as well as a new making-of documentary and widescreen transfer.

While not really scary (c’mon, you could just punt the thing), this first film in the franchise was a surprisingly entertaining and well-made film from director Tom Holland (Fright Night). A serial killer (the always creepy Dourif) works some voodoo magic and possesses a Chucky doll. A young boy gets Chucky for his birthday.

Then his babysitter is pushed out of a window. Of course, nobody believes the boy about his psychotic doll – until there are more murders.
