CSS were conceived in Brazil and seeing their live performance, it’s as though a slice of the annual Carnival in Rio de Janeiro was recreated at the Mayan. The venue instantly turned into one massive party complete with balloons, a disco ball, glitter, paper money and enough danceable beats and electronic riffs to make even the most reserved person get down on the dance floor.

CSS take their name from an abbreviation of Cansei de Ser Sexy, which is Portuguese for “tired of being sexy,” and they make it clear they are not about serious rock, but prefer instead to focus on having a good time.
