Many residents and patrons of West Hollywood may already know about this fantastic find (a location already exists on the corner of Holloway Drive and La Cienega Blvd.). But there’s something so wonderful and refreshing about the Beverly Hills spot.
The food is delightful and filling without weighing down the palate with trans fat and heavy flavors. These French-named salads contain only the freshest ingredients and flavors.
One can feast on food throughout the day. There is a savory breakfast menu, as well as plenty of brunch offerings. But the real winner is the lunch menu.
The Salade Tomate Mozzarella elevates the traditional and celebrated tomato and mozzarella salad to a new level. Salades de Provence offers its version with plump sun-dried tomatoes, fresh cheese and toasted pine nuts.
Another standout is the L’Assiette Sainte Victoire. Prepared with grilled lamb marinated in lemon and fresh mint alongside rice pilaf, this dish is a winner for Southern California foodies. And unlike many high-end restaurants, the portions here are surprisingly large and filling.
There’s also a sumptuous dessert menu consisting of handmade Italian gelato, crepes and even molten chocolate cake.
But perhaps the greatest offering from Salades de Provence at Frédéric Fekkai is that nothing is over $20. That’s right. Not one item. This means that in these trying economic times, you can still eat like the elite, without breaking the bank in the process.
