Are you ready to lose hours a day working for Tom Nook again? If so, “Animal Crossing: City Folk” has all of the fishing, gardening and eccentric animals that you have been craving.

At first, “City Folk” seems to be identical to the Animal Crossings of old, but the differences go far deeper than a new city full of shops. Rather than swapping memory cards, you can now visit other towns via Nintendo WiFi to let you explore with your buddies or through the DS. If you happen to have a Wii Speak, you can even talk with buddies that are in the same town that you are in, making this cute sim a far more social experience.

The game does have a few flaws, most notably that the controls are a bit awkward when you just use the controller. It would also be nice to have a save that doesn’t make you quit, especially since weaker Internet connections could lead to lost progress, but these are minor concerns.
