Unlike its namesake, creatures made of inanimate objects to protect the Jews of the 17th century, Golem the band, is not really made of giants, at least not in a physical way. And they are not really here to protect you from the evils of this world.

However, one thing is for certain. Citizen Boris beautifully combines English, Yiddish and a few other Slavic languages and gifts the listener with an interesting take on the punk genre. Some of the tracks possess the power to take the listener back to the time of “Fiddler on the Roof” and men in black doing the bulgar and freylekh.

If you are wondering what the lyrics mean, do not hesitate to ask your bubbie and zeyde. However, you probably would want to stay as far away from them as possible. You know, to protect any vital organ from their sudden anger outburst.
