Vertigo is reissuing Warren Ellis’ Transmetropolitan in honor of its 10th anniversary. The series follows Spider Jerusalem, an anarchic journalist hell bent on uncovering the ugly truth lurking in the cesspool of a futuristic metropolis.

Spider is like Hunter S. Thompson done by Grant Morrison, thrown back into a world of bowel-disrupting guns, cosmetic gene splicing and a totalitarian police force. While Ellis’ relentless attitude may wear a little thin, it’s still an entertaining ride.
