Mute Math’s second EP, Spotlight, serves as a bridge between their debut and the untitled forthcoming album due in August. Spotlight astonishingly condenses a lot of energy into the short 15 minutes it lasts.

The EP kicks off with the infectious title track that was included on the Twilight soundtrack. Paul Meany’s vocals soar throughout and add an ambient quality that makes the listener yearn for more.

“Clockwork” is a fast-paced track, mainly percussion-driven with some tambourines peppered throughout. A simple guitar melody intertwines between both instruments and complements it in such a way that the song is destined to become a signature of theirs in future concerts.
