There was this dame and this private dick, see? There were other dames and a few coppers and some bad guys, too. There was a kidnapping, a theft and lots of tongue-in-cheek humor. People laughed, some dame stripped and in the end everything is wrapped up tight, see?
A send-up of the classic noir genre, this production is full of puns and intentionally bad jokes. You’ll enjoy it if you see it for what it is. It’s not a stuffy, overly serious night of theater.
It is a long night, though. The plot is a loose excuse for the jokes, and a few minutes could have easily been cut.
