In his first novel, Some Things That Meant the World to Me, Joshua Mohr nearly accomplishes a masterpiece. The book deals with a catastrophic emotional and psychological past, family and personal struggles and tragic and abusive incidents.

Some Things That Meant the World to Me follows Rhonda [a man] at various stages of his life, ranging from childhood moments to adult events. He is diagnosed with depersonalization, a disorder in which he re-imagines his life and everything surrounding him in a completely different niche.

He reinvents his life’s past, and all that has produced negative outcomes. This is all simply created because of the trauma Rhonda withstood as a child.
