We dare you to stay in your seat when The Jumpin’ Joz Band scorches the room with its woppin’, boppin’ swing band, sizzling with the sounds of the 1940s. The styles of swing, jitterbug, jump, jive, Count Basie, Louie Prima, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Louie Jordan are as blistering as ever.

Not a dancer? Then just come to listen; your heart will be thumping with excitement. Those choosing to dance hit the floor in all ages and sizes.

Bandleader Jumpin’ Joz is the drummer, singer and arranger whose inspiration for this hot music came from the great Gene Krupa. This talented guy is also a swing dance performer and singer. Lightning strikes every time we see him and this bustling band. The troupe, dressed in 1940s-period clothing, is big-band buzz at its finest.

Making sweet harmony with The Jumpin’ Joz Band is the sexy, sultry Ginger Berglund whose evocative singing adds a unique brand of ardor to the room.

The band’s usual makeup includes piano, bass, drums, guitar, sax, trumpet and trombone, with some of the greatest swing and jazz musicians in Southern California. The Jumpin’ Joz Band is always on the go, playing throughout Los Angeles for concerts, special events, parties, movie openings, cast parties and more. Catch them every Wednesday from 7-10 p.m. when they perform at Vintage Café in Pasadena, located at 2032 N. Lincoln Ave.
