The new rock album by Adelitas Way is filled with electric guitar solos and sexually suggestive lyrics, specifically in “My Dirty Little Thing.” Their sound is similar to “American Idol” contestant Chris Daughtry, and the album is perfect for rocking out, Wayne’s World-style while taking a joy ride with friends.

The problem with this album is that there’s nothing unique about it. I’ve heard it all before: the melodies, the vocals, the accompaniment. The band sounds like the typical KROQ bands that have been playing for years. Not that there’s anything wrong with older KROQ bands; they were being inventive when they made their hits, but now that sound is not so creative.

If Adelitas Way were to find their originality, they could be good. They have talent, but, for now, I’m sticking with KROQ.
