It looks like we might be seeing more of Unseen on college campuses now that the app has raked in $2.1 million in funding.

The anonymous photo-sharing app for college students plans to expand and increase its availability on college campuses. Since its launch in May, Unseen has spread to more than 40 college campuses, and that number will likely increase to 150 by the end of August.

Here's how the app works: Users can take a photo, add a caption and share it on a feed with other students. It sounds a little similar to Instagram, but it's anonymous, so you can express yourself without worrying what people will think. In an interview with USA Today, co-founder and CEO Michael Schramm said Unseen is about "debate, discussion and collaboration.”

He also said, "College is a period of our lives that is filled with new experiences and making tough decisions. Unseen provides a new way to find and connect with others facing similar challenges and struggles in a safe, anonymous way."

The app is free, and you can download it on your iPhone or Android.
