Mike Judge and Don Hertzfeldt’s annual animation compilation returns! The DVD includes the full theatrical program, culling the best in independent animation from 2007 from the likes of Bill Plympton, Joanna Quinn and PES, plus additional groundbreaking shorts.

I look forward to this festival every year, solely for the release of a new Hertzfeldt short. This year’s entry, Everything Will Be OK, does not disappoint. Judge also provides an introduction from our old friends Beavis and Butt-head.

High points include two by Plympton and “Rabbit,” a black comedy/fable animating the illustrations from a Highlights magazine.
