The best part: the Groovaloos (a hip-hop dance collective) will perform a few funkdafied numbers. Below, their founder shares his favorites L.A. spots and more.
Restaurant: P.F. Chang’s (15301 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks)
Place to shop: Melrose Avenue
Neighborhood: The Grove
Summertime activity: Going to the beach.
Place to dance: Debbie Reynolds Studio at Groovaloos Open Jam Session every Thursday night from 9:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m. $3. (6514 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood)
Hobbies: The trampoline in the backyard and reading.
Craziest thing that ever happened at a show: We were performing at Cal State L.A., and one of the female leads tripped when she headed offstage. Luckily, her swing just happened to be in the audience and so she finished the show. So the audience saw one person in the first half and another in the second.
