Summer's almost here, and when you're not at the beach or playing sports (not to mention those lazy summer days when you want to stay out of the sun), you'll probably be lounging in front of the TV, catching up on all the movies you missed in the theaters. In anticipation of their arrival, we've compiled a list of must-sees.

THE GOOD GERMAN

This Oscar nominated film boasts an all-star cast (George Clooney, Tobey Maguire, Cate Blanchett) and tells the story of an American military journalist who's drawn into a murder investigation involving his former mistress and driver in post-war Berlin. It's an excellent post-World War II period piece, unraveling a story of lies, lust and deceit.

LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA

(Warner Home Video)

Just in time for Memorial Day, there's no better way to pay tribute to this country's veterans than to escape in Clint Eastwood and Iris Yamashita's Oscar-winning tale of the battle between the U.S. and Imperial Japan at Iwo Jima during World War II. The narrative – told from the perspective of the Japanese and with subtitles – is guaranteed to stir emotions.

PORKY'S: THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION

Fox pulls together the classic Porky's films that garnered attention for their immature raunchiness in a collector's edition DVD set. Follow the gang from our favorite Florida high school in these quintessential coming-of-age stories. The box set includes Porky's , Porky's II: The Next Day and Porky's Revenge .

HANNIBAL RISING

Tune in and find out how Hannibal Lecter became such a savage. Hannibal Rising details the early life of Lector living with his aunt and uncle in Paris and recounts his baby sister's attack and his subsequent desire for revenge, which contributes to the making of the madman that has fascinated fans since The Silence of the Lambs .

MEATBALLS (SPECIAL EDITION)

Most of us weren't even born in 1979 when the original Meatballs was released in theaters. That said, make sure to watch this classic and follow head counselor Tripper Harrison (Bill Murray in one of his breakout roles) as he tries to build the self-esteem of his rowdy teenage campers and win the Camp Olympics.

BREACH

Based on a true story, Breach chronicles the greatest security breach in the history of the United States. GHOST RIDER

Based on Marvel comic character Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), Ghost Rider follows Blaze as he becomes a famous motorcyclist and tries to win back the heart of former girlfriend Roxanne Simpson (Eva Mendes). Blaze sells his soul to Mephistopheles and takes on the role of Ghost Rider, setting out on a path in search of vengeance and justice.

BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA

Finally, the bestselling novel comes to life on film. Jesse Aarons (Josh Hutcherson) and Leslie Burke (AnnaSophia Robb) become friends and create Terabithia, a magical land where they rule as the king and queen. Full of monsters, trolls, giants, ogres and other surprises, this film will make you nostalgic for your youth.

RENO 911!: MIAMI

If you haven't had your fill of the Comedy Central series, get ready as the team of Reno cops heads to Miami Beach during spring break to prevent a terrorist attack at the national police convention. It's no Police Academy , but it'll make you laugh out loud more than a few times.

BLACK SNAKE MOAN

Apparently, everything is hotter down south. This film, however, is not as provocative as you might think.

Lazarus (Samuel L. Jackson) takes a liking to Rae (Christina Ricci), a victim of childhood sexual abuse. Justin Timberlake fails to deliver in his role, but Jackson and Ricci rise with stellar performances that unleash an intoxicating story of redemption.

ZODIAC

(Paramount)

Based on the investigation of Zodiac, the real life serial killer who terrorized San Francisco in the 1960s and 1970s, this film is suspenseful and scary. Robert Graysmith (Jake Gyllenhaal), a cartoonist at The San Francisco Chronicle becomes obsessed with figuring out the killer's encrypted messages and clues left behind for the public. Watch this intriguing whodunit to find out if they ever catch the dark mastermind.

FACTORY GIRL

Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) is a rich, dropout, party girl in 1965 who sets out for New York and meets the legendary Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce). He promises her the fame she has always dreamed of, and as she explodes onto the scene gaining popularity, she loses her grip on reality. A must-see for anyone intrigued by the life of Warhol and his long-lived 15 minutes of fame.

Have you ever had a weird premonition about something that's going to happen to you or someone you know in the near future? Linda Hanson (Sandra Bullock) has a spooky feeling about her husband's death in a car accident and can't seem to figure out fact from fantasy.

Four suburban men in the middle of what seems to be mid-life crises, John Travolta (Woody), Tim Allen (Doug), Martin Lawrence (Bobby) and William H. Macy (Dudley), hit the open road looking for adventure. The Wild Hogs get into trouble when they stop in New Mexico for a drink, running into the Del Fuegos, a local biker gang.

What better way to get us in the mood for the start of college football season than a heart-wrenching football movie? After a horrific plane crash takes the lives of members of the Marshall University football team and a handful of its fans, Jack Lengyel (Matthew McConaughey) tries to keep the football program alive with inspiration and fortitude. Make sure to have a box of Kleenex standing by for this one.
