Tsunami Bomb has kind of always been something of an underrated punk band. Like, anyone who’s ever been to Warped Tour knows who they are, they’ve got a rock solid fan base and they write legitimately good music that’s equally as catchy as it is hard rockin’. But even so, a great number of music-listeners seem to be more than a little oblivious to the band’s existence.

Luckily for Tsunami Bomb, as well as for the heathen masses who have yet to hop on their bandwagon, the NorCal four-piece is putting out this DVD to prove to the uninformed and the disbelieving that TB is about to be their new favorite band. And that Agent M is their new crush that could easily kick their collective asses.

Recorded at the Glasshouse days before the release of the band’s latest album, The Definitive Act, TB plays an even mix of old and new material, with fans doing their best to learn new lyrics on the spot as the whole venue harmonizes with M for the old.

While M’s and (now former) guitarist Mike Griffen’s vocals don’t sound as strong as could be, the band’s collective energy more than compensates, as all four members thrash and headbang in between to create some of the most fluidly infectious melodies this side of punk has ever seen. Watching them play everything from "Take the Reins" to "Dawn on a Funeral Day" serves as a good reminder of the days when punk was fun and simple, promising that anyone not in on the Bomb now will soon be a minority nearing extinction.
