Co-founders Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng are adding 12 universities to Coursera, a year-old Wed education platform. With Stanford University, the University of Michigan, Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania, and University of Edinburgh (Scotland) already on board, both Koller and Ng are announcing that the new partners will include the California Institute of Technology, Duke University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, Johns Hopkins University, Rice University, the University of California, San Francisco, the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, the University of Washington, and the University of Virginia.

Two other foreign partners include the University of Toronto and EPF Lausanne, a technical university in Switzerland. Both Koller and Ng are Stanford University professors and computer scientists.
