Tuesday night, French dance duo Daft Punk were supposed to appear on Stephen Colbert’s “The Colbert Report” but didn’t due to contractual obligations.

The duo was to perform its popular summer hit “Get Lucky” but couldn't (or wouldn’t) back out of its agreement to appear on MTV’s Video Music Awards. Instead of Daft Punk, Robin Thicke performed his hit “Blurred Lines” and entertained the crowd. Afterwards, Colbert debuted his own “Get Lucky” music video.
