After rocketing to fame with the Clash, Strummer took an 11-year hiatus from the music business before making a comeback with a new band called the Mescaleros. Let's Rock Again follows Strummer and the band over the course of the last 18 months of his life as the Mescaleros hit the road in support of their last recording, Global a Go-Go .

“Bhindi Bhagee,” “Johnny Appleseed” and “Global a Go-Go” are among the mesmerizing tunes performed and the footage of Strummer offstage also holds the viewer rapt. Whether he's on the boardwalk at Atlantic City trying to hustle people to come to the show that night or trying to talk his way into a radio station (“Uh, I used to be in a band called the Clash”), Strummer displays an amazing patience and lack of ego that helps to explain why he was so beloved as an individual.

Extras include two Jimmy Cliff covers in “The Harder They Come” and “Pressure Drop” along with “Armagideon Time” and Clash oldie “Rudie Can't Fail.” Other than a quick notation at film's end, Strummer's death is not mentioned here but a more touching tribute to the artist is hard to imagine.
