FAST FOOD NO LONGER SAFE

As if it ever was … but it's what keeps college students alive. It was announced that Kentucky Fried Chicken will settle a state lawsuit filed in Los Angeles by warning California customers that its potatoes contain a suspected cancer-causing chemical.

Other companies named in the lawsuit include PepsiCo, McDonald's and Frito-Lay. Prosecutors say they are in settlement talks with Burger King and Wendy's.

That pretty much covers all fast food that students crave. What's a starving student to do?

CS NORTHRIDGE EXPOSED

Cal State Northridge officials have warned students about a “flasher” who exposed himself to two female students and a faculty member in parking garages on the west side of the campus. The crimes were reported on April 13, between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., and on April 18 around 9:40 a.m.

The flasher was described as white, about six feet tall and 250 pounds with brown hair. Those were the days … when all we had to worry about was a naked person running around at school.

MY BROTHER THE WORM

Student researchers at Cal State Fullerton and UCLA are helping worms fight aging. Supposedly worms have about 40 percent of the same DNA as humans and are good guinea pigs for exploring the antioxidant properties of Manganese supplements. Don't be so grossed out next time you see worms squirming along; they could be related to you!
