Coheed and Cambria often get mistaken for being just another emo group, but they rock more than most bands from any genre today. Not saying much between songs at the Wiltern, they let their music do the talking; and the music spoke volumes. In fact, many of the songs performed were from their last two albums: Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One and Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow.

Playing prog-rock down to a science that is unheard of today, singer Claudio Sanchez and the rest of the band, with the addition of two female back-up singers and a keyboardist, had a full house singing every word to songs old and new. Coheed’s fans were not afraid to rock out, just as Coheed wasn’t afraid to show their appreciation with a 10-minute jam that showcased each of the band members’ talents.
