No Way Jose is, simply put, a punk band that loves to play. Based out of Los Angeles, they’ve blended their Tex-Mex roots with a SoCal spin that they like to term “Spanglish Punk.” With their highly energetic and sometime comedic style, all language and cultural barriers get blown to bits.

Influenced by the likes of Ritchie Valens, the Misfits and mariachi music, the band was founded by lead vocalist and guitarist, Jose, back in 2001. With the release of their EP Rice, Beans & Rock ’N’ Roll on Pee Shy Records in 2007, the band’s presence and following in the L.A. indie circuit has been growing.

Often booked to play shows with psychobilly, roc en español or even emo bands, No Way Jose feel that audiences enjoy experiencing something unexpected at their shows.

Rice, Beans & Rock ’N’ Roll is currently available. No Way Jose will perform Feb. 28 at Charlie O’s in Los Angeles. For more information, visit www.noway-jose.com.
