Black Label Society is a talented and tight outfit but its role is strictly support for their master – guitar star Zakk Wylde. The band gets lots of play in split-screen action and complete stage shots, but the cameras love the wooly dynamo that Wylde presents and they rightfully focus on every aspect of his performance including lots of close-ups of his scorching fretwork.

An entire concert recorded in Paris starts off the DVD and the lead-off songs “Stoned and Drunk,” “Destruction Overdrive” and “Been a Long Time” show that Wylde has cribbed much of his singing style and arranging from his old boss, Ozzy Osbourne. Wylde even acknowledges that fact by riffing a few chords from Black Sabbath's “Iron Man” after the opening trio.

And that's what Black Label Society does and does very well – plays heavy music to beat the devil. Along the way a monitor may get trashed, a guitar will get thrown into the audience and fans will eat up every second of the show.

Lots of bonuses include four songs live from London, three music videos and almost an hour of backstage interview snippets and candid footage.
