When I first heard about this show, I couldn’t believe it. James? The same James that hasn’t been heard from since 2001? I was worried that they wouldn’t be the same after seven years, but as soon as they took the stage, my fears were put to rest.

Tim Booth’s voice sounded as amazing as ever, and the other band members showed off their musicianship by playing multiple instruments: violin on one song, drums on the next. They delighted the enthralled audience with a mix of hits, including “Laid” and “Say Something,” and new songs from this year’s Hey Ma, out on this side of the pond in September.

By the time they played their last song, “I Wanna Go Home,” I don’t think anyone there agreed.
