Concert DVDs are often hit or miss. With Live Dominance, the intensity of Hatebreed’s music is perfectly exemplified by the ferocity seen in the almost-constant moshing throughout all of these 28 songs.

It’s near impossible to sit back and enjoy the DVD without getting the itch to mosh with whatever furniture you have nearby. What makes Live Dominance a success is not only the unrelenting set in which there’s never a dull moment, but the fact that the audience takes such a prominent role.

Hatebreed’s love for their fans really comes across; the fans are just as center stage as the band. From professionally shot footage of the band to the fan cameras in the pit, you really get a feel for what a Hatebreed concert is like.

Another great thing about Live Dominance is the fact that it’s not saturated with editing floor infallibility. There are mistakes here, but Hatebreed doesn’t seem to want to hide them. It’s refreshing to see a DVD that doesn’t sound like the CD with live footage playing on mute over it.
